Stress
Gain clarity, restore balance, and learn to navigate stress with resilience.
Service Description
Stress doesn’t always show up as panic or burnout—it often looks like holding it together while feeling emotionally drained, mentally overloaded, or just not yourself. Whether you're juggling long hours at work, taking care of others, dealing with health or financial pressure, or navigating constant demands, the toll of stress can build quietly over time. You may feel tired all the time, quick to anger, unable to focus, or like you're carrying too much with no room to breathe. This session is designed for anyone experiencing the emotional or physical weight of chronic stress—regardless of background or situation. Together, we’ll look at what’s causing the pressure, how it’s affecting you, and how to begin responding in ways that support your well-being and peace of mind. My approach is grounded in systemic therapy, which takes into account your environment, relationships, responsibilities, and cultural values—not just your symptoms. You’ll learn how to set clearer boundaries, manage emotional responses, and create practical changes that make life feel more manageable. We may also integrate techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy to help you take meaningful steps forward—without shame or pressure to be perfect. You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy, and you don’t need to have the “right words” to get started. This is a space for real people dealing with real stress. Sessions are 50 minutes long, conducted through secure video, and available to adult clients in New York, Florida, and Arizona. Services are offered in English and Spanish. If you're feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or stretched too thin—therapy can help you reset, refocus, and move forward with more balance and clarity.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy Your time and well-being are important, and so is the time reserved for your session. In order to offer the highest quality of care and respect for all clients, I kindly ask that you provide at least 48 hours' notice for any cancellation or rescheduling. If you cancel 48 hours or more prior to your scheduled session, you will not be charged. If a session is canceled less than 48 hours in advance, you will be responsible for 50% of the session fee, unless there is an emergency or exceptional circumstance. This policy is in place not to penalize, but to maintain fairness and allow others the opportunity to schedule in that time. No-shows or missed appointments without any prior notice may also result in a partial or full session charge, depending on the situation. Therapy is a commitment to your personal growth and care. Last-minute cancellations and no-shows not only impact your therapeutic progress, but they also prevent others from accessing services. If you are experiencing a true emergency or crisis that interferes with your ability to attend, please contact me as soon as possible. I understand that life happens, and I will always strive to balance clinical boundaries with compassion. This cancellation policy is in alignment with professional standards outlined by the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), and with ethical practices in telehealth care. It is designed to protect client access, uphold clinical integrity, and support mutual respect in the therapeutic relationship. If you need to reschedule or cancel a session, you may do so directly through the booking system or by contacting me via email at therapy@michaeltise.com. By scheduling a session, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.
